Heather Mudrick, Client Manager/Recruiter
While growing up all my friends used to come to me for advice. When my friends talked to me, they always noticed how attentive I was to every detail. I had 2 phone lines in my house and my Mom swore one day I would make a living giving people advice. Maybe that’s why I am so good at being a Client Manager and Recruiter. I use those listening skills every day to help my clients and candidates be successful. I have been working in the clinical research industry since 1993. I’m a great multi-tasker - I can juggle projects, clients and candidates while giving each my undivided attention. In addition, I have a passion for making a difference in people’s lives. I even take my cell phone with me to my kids soccer games just in case someone from work needs me. Dedication, determination, and hard work are what make me good at my job. When I am not working you can find me at the lake with my husband, 2 kids and our pug - Cooper.

I still bounce out of bed every morning because I genuinely love what I do! I have been with Clintel Services since its inception in 2002 and there hasn’t been a day that I didn’t think I am one of the luckiest people I know. My enthusiasm is contagious according to my clients and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I moved to Maryland and began working as a clinical research recruiter in 1998. I have a true passion for recruiting and strive at developing long-term relationships with candidates and clients so I can better understand their needs and desires. I think it’s my Southern Hospitality & can do attitude that people really like. When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband, 3 kids, and our Boxer, JJ.

Mary Griffin, Director of Operations
Director of Operations and a native Washingtonian, I have worked in the business management arena for more than 35 years bringing a diverse background to Clintel. My vast years of experience ranging from comptroller for a manufacturing company to working hand-in-hand with clients for a local CPA firm have given me a unique outlook when it comes to managing the company’s affairs. I have a degree in Business Management along with additional credits in accounting and human resources. As a trustee for the company’s 401k, I have implemented many procedures that have enhanced the company’s ability to continue to grow in the current economical environment. Along with my husband, I love spending time at our home on the Chesapeake Bay on Kent Island. I have three granddaughters who occupy most of my spare time and our entire family loves the laid back life style while enjoying the waters of the Chesapeake.

I’ve been with Clintel Services since 2002. Prior to working here I worked as a make-up artist, salon manager, and in software sales. I have established amazing relationships with my candidates and clients which has allowed me to make a name for myself in the industry especially within Medical Affairs and Clinical Research. My network of candidates/clients and my personal style in building relationships gives me the inside track with the companies I service and their competition. While I believe that technology has its place in building relationships, I am still very committed to the personal relationships I forge with both clients and candidates. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family; my husband, three boys and our chocolate lab, Sophie. We live on a lake and spend as much time as possible on the water! I have a work hard, play hard attitude!

They say with age comes wisdom. I don’t know about being “wise”, but I have noticed that being one of the older recruiter/managers at Clintel gives me an edge of knowledge that works great for my clients and candidates. I’ve developed a reputation in the industry as someone who understands the medical terminology and all the aspects of clinical placement which allows me to fully understand what my clients and candidates need. Having more than 30 years of experience in the medical field I would say that’s where I got my tendency to make sure everyone is taken care of. My years working in the medical field have given me an edge in understanding the needs of the positions for clients’ and candidates’ levels of experience. When not working at Clintel, I’m at home with my husband and two bulldogs or enjoying time with my children and four grandsons, traveling, going to the beach and enjoying our years together.

People, places, and puzzles – all part of the ever-fascinating world of recruiting. I actually started recruiting in grade school when I enlisted classmates and parents in throwing a surprise party for our teacher. It was a fantastic success and great fun. That sense of fun, and the positive feel of finding the right people, for the right places, no matter how many pieces there are in the puzzle is still one of my greatest motivators. Professionally, I started recruiting in information technology and then in April 2004 joined Clintel Services where I have truly enjoyed creating and maintaining relationships with people I admire and respect in the clinical research industry. My mantra, as family and friends will agree, is be positive and love what you do. When not in the office, I keep up with a family of athletic men – 1 husband and 2 sons, and have bonded as well with our Bernese Mountain dog, Leia, who is the only other female in the family.

Look, not everyone wakes up in the morning thinking their life is great… But I do. Since 2007 I have worked for Clintel Services in a job I absolutely love. As a Client Manager and Recruiter, I help people on a daily basis—whether advising them in what’s happening in their industry or providing them with options for their next career move—I play an important role. Prior to working for Clintel Services, my work experience included a Sales and Marketing position with State Farm Insurance as well as 12 years in the printing and graphics industry. When not working, my husband and I can be found cheering for our two sons on the sidelines of various sporting events. Yup- I’m one lucky lady.

JJ – Mascot
I've been accused of being the lazy one on the Clintel team. I don't know if that's fair, but I admit it is accurate. I do tend to nap a lot during the day. Although, when anyone calls my name, I always come running over to be of help! Of course, I won’t do much unless someone is scratching my back or giving me a snack, but that's just the way I am. I LOVE my job because I get to spend all day with the ladies - what boxer wouldn't love that? Still, I have to say, the best part of my job is hearing all the great things the ladies here accomplish every day. You should see how many people they make happy everyday! Now, that's my kind of life… napping, eating and making people happy. Yeah, I'm a lucky Dog.
